Data & Democracy: Train-the-Trainer Course

Health DATA offers a Train-the-Trainer course for our Performing a Community Based Assessment and our Introduction to Health Data training programs. Participants learn how to train community members using the Performing a Community Assessment curriculum or the Introduction to Health Data curriculum. All materials are available in English and Spanish.

Train the Trainer is a three-day course to enable representatives of community-based organizations to train staff and volunteers to work with data. Participants learn how to develop a training plan, use interactive training techniques, conduct community workshops, and evaluate their training. The training uses tools useful to anyone wanting to develop skills around training or conducting community assessments.

The Train the Trainer Course was originally developed for the Data & Democracy Statewide Training Initiative funded collaboratively by The California Endowment and The California Wellness Foundation. Data & Democracy was implemented in partnership with community organizations throughout California.
